McLuck Casino Review

McLuck Casino is a sweepstakes website because it does not use money for playing games or as a main prize. Instead, McLuck uses proprietary coins that allow players to wager on the slots they have available.

Considering my experience with multiple sweepstakes casinos, McLuck Casino is very similar in terms of how it uses coins: gold coins are used for bets and sweepstake coins are used for redeeming prizes.

Making an account with McLuck Casino is very simple. It only took me a few minutes to complete the process, so I’m confident the same will be true for you. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

1. I went to mcluck.com, but you could also download the McLuck app from the Google Play Store or Apple Store.
2. I clicked on ‘Join now’, provided my email address and username, and created a password. You can also sign in with a Facebook or Google account if you wish to have them linked - I’m just old-fashioned.
3. McLuck Casino will send an email that will let you verify your account by clicking on a link - for me, this took about a minute.
4. You can sign in after clicking on the link by inputting your email address and password. 
5. The first thing I did on login was redeem the bonus, as it will expire a few days after registration. And that’s it—your sign-up process is complete!

If, like me, you’re the type of person who likes a casino with a very wide variety of games, you may be disappointed to find out that McLuck Casino only offers slots games. 

A slots-only casino can still be fun to use, but it might be wise to have a secondary casino account registered elsewhere so you can get some action in poker, blackjack or baccarat.

Because money isn’t a factor when playing games at a sweepstake casino, you have to use the gold coins that McLuck specializes in. McLuck operates like any other sweepstake casino, which means using gold coins to earn sweepstake coins.

To use gold coins, select a game and make a bet that meets the minimum requirements set by that game. If you win, your payout will be in sweepstake coins. Keep in mind that it is possible to earn fractions of sweepstake coins, such as 0.2 SC. They are valuable but it takes a lot of them to earn prizes.

In fact, you need a minimum of 100 SC to earn any sort of prize at McLuck Casino, which seems like a bit too much. I’ve used other sweepstake casinos that offer lower-tiered prizes set at 50 SC, for example, so to have 100 SC be the bottom requirement seems a little high.

McLuck Casino unfortunately only has five available payment options to use in order to purchase more gold coins: Visa, Mastercard, Interac, Apple Pay and Google Pay. 

It’s not uncommon to see sweepstake casinos have fewer payment methods than standard casinos, but having only five options is rather limited, especially without any cryptocurrency options like Bitcoin.

McLuck Casino offers two kinds of prizes, and they are the same kind of rewards that nearly all other sweepstakes casinos I’ve used offer: gift cards for major retailers and cash prizes.

I found redeeming prizes at McLuck Casino to be just as simple as any other sweepstake casino. All you need is enough sweepstake coins and then you can head over to the prizes page and select what you would like to redeem. 

If you select a cash prize, you can pick one of the payment methods to have your cash delivered. It might take up to 5 business days for it to arrive, which is not as fast as many other sweepstake casinos in my experience.

Overall, I have had an extremely positive time using the McLuck Casino menus and UI. It uses a dark mode theme by default, which I really appreciated. Using these sites in the evening is what I prefer, so it seemed as if McLuck Casino had anticipated my preferred settings.

The menu overall is pretty standard but it works very well. The left-hand side features different menus leading to accounts and settings, and each slot game thumbnail is very large, bright and colourful. I never felt as if a slot game thumbnail was inaccurate or misleading.

I had heard excellent things about McLuck Casino’s mobile app before, but I don’t think I was prepared to be as impressed as I was. The mobile app is available for Android and iOS devices and works well. It’s a dedicated app, meaning McLuck gives it support and updates on a regular basis.

Even though I prefer to use the mobile app for some features and the desktop website for more in-depth management, I actually ended up using the mobile version for all of my needs. Everything looks and feels better on the mobile app. It’s almost as if they designed the app first and then the website.

I'm also happy to report that every single slot functions extremely well on mobile. I never encountered any slowdown, lag or buffering during gameplay. The app itself also loads faster than other sweepstake apps I’ve used in the past, which is always a plus.

Functioning as the VIP program, the McLuck Loyalty Club has eight different tiers with their own corresponding rewards and prizes. These prizes include personalized gifts, gold coins, free slot spins and chances for higher payouts and jackpots on select slot games.

I was automatically enrolled in the Loyalty Club, as are all new members. I also automatically earned points toward my promotions from tier to tier, so being heavily incentivized to keep on playing daily definitely made me feel satisfied. There was always something new to strive for, which I loved.

At the end of the day, I think McLuck Casino is a pretty solid new sweepstakes casino. They hit a lot of the points that I look for in a casino, but they did miss out on a few things. I love the excellent mobile app, the generous welcome bonus, the VIP program’s multiple bonuses and the various offers they have. 

I did feel disappointed at some other factors though, such as the limited payment options, the fact there are only slots games available and the high requirement for earning any sort of prize. Still, I found McLuck a fun sweepstake casino, and ultimately that’s what matters most. 

If you’re new to the world of sweepstakes games and are just looking for a place to wet your toes, this would be a great introductory site for newcomers. I would advise more seasoned fans of casinos to use this as a secondary casino for their exclusive games.
